Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Ansty Hall

Outdoor Wedding at Ansty Hall

Natalie and Simon celebrated their love with a stunning outdoor wedding ceremony at Ansty Hall, near Coventry in Warwickshire. Under the shade of the venue’s iconic 350-year-old cedar tree, they exchanged vows in the company of close family and friends. Warwickshire County Council Registration Services led the ceremony in the formal gardens, with blue skies above and emotion all around.

They first discovered Ansty Hall during one of the venue’s wedding open days. That same day, they met John Fox, one of Ansty Hall’s recommended wedding photographers. The connection was instant, and they booked soon after.

Outdoor Ceremonies – What You Should Know

Since April 2022, couples in England and Wales can now marry entirely outdoors at licensed venues – no permanent structure is required. This gives couples the freedom to say “I do” under trees, in gardens, or anywhere within a venue’s licensed area. However, a backup indoor option must still be available in case of poor weather.

Ansty Hall offers both: a stunning outdoor space with that historic cedar tree, plus elegant indoor rooms. It’s the best of both worlds.

A Thoughtful, Family-Focused Celebration

The couple kept the day intimate and deeply personal. One of their sons served as the ring bearer, adding a beautiful family moment to the ceremony. After the confetti and congratulations, John Fox stepped in for the group photographs, keeping things relaxed and natural.

Later, he led the couple around the gardens and grounds of Ansty Hall, capturing beautiful portraits in the late afternoon light. The mix of formal elegance and soft garden backdrops created timeless, storytelling images they’ll cherish forever.
