Jade and Lewis’s story

Jade and Lewis both grew up in Milton Keynes. They first met at secondary school around 2011 through a close friend. However, after leaving school, they lost touch for a few years. Later, they reconnected in 2019.

From that point, their relationship developed steadily. In fact, Lewis spent two years patiently pursuing Jade before they went on their first date in 2021.

Then, on 2nd May 2025, Lewis proposed while they were on holiday in Rhodes. They were celebrating their anniversary. To make it special, he planned a beach proposal with fireworks. In addition, a wooden pagoda lit with fairy lights created a magical setting. As a result, the moment became both romantic and unforgettable.

Afterwards, they chose Furtho Manor Farm as their wedding venue. They immediately fell in love with the grounds. Therefore, it matched their vision perfectly.

They first met John Fox Wedding Photography at the MK Wedding Fayre. Initially, they were not planning to book a photographer. However, one image on the stand caught their attention. The image of the groomsmen and the helicopter. Because of this and after hearing the story behind it, they returned and booked John with approximately 12 months in advance.

A busy morning before the ceremony at St James Church

Meanwhile, Jade spent the morning at Furtho Manor Farm with her five bridesmaids and flower girls. The morning felt calm, yet the day slowly came to life around them.

Afterwards, the ceremony took place at St James Church in New Bradwell, Milton Keynes. Notably, the church held strong meaning for the groom. His parents and grandparents were also married there. Therefore, it added a deep family connection to the ceremony.

Adjusting plans for the best light

Normally, John Fox Wedding Photography takes couple portraits after the wedding breakfast. However, the forecast showed heavy rain later in the day. Therefore, the plan changed. Instead, the couple portraits moved to earlier and still John had enough time for the family portraits.

As a result, Jade and Lewis enjoyed soft natural light across the grounds. In addition, the change created a calm and relaxed portrait session.

Perfect timing before the rain arrived

Importantly, the light worked perfectly. It felt soft and flattering, which created natural and timeless images.

Just as guests sat down for the wedding breakfast, the rain arrived. Fortunately, the timing held exactly as planned.

A smooth and well timed wedding day

Overall, careful planning kept the day running smoothly. In particular, each part of the schedule flowed well. Because of this, the key moments were captured without stress. Finally, the weather change caused no disruption to the celebrations.
