A look back at 2024 in Northamptonshire

Northampton and Northamptonshire Wedding Photographer – looking back at 2024. It’s been a privilege to photograph many weddings across the stunning venues of Northampton and Northamptonshire. Based just over the border in Warwickshire, all of these venues are within a 40 minute drive. I’ve been fortunate to capture moments in a range of settings, from rustic barns to grand halls. With over 25 years of experience, my passion for wedding photography continues to grow, and I’m proud to help couples create memories they’ll treasure for a lifetime.

Northamptonshire is home to some truly remarkable wedding venues. Here are just a few of the places I’ve had the pleasure of working at this year:

Wedding Photographer Furtho Manor Farm in Northamptonshire

This tranquil, rustic venue is a hidden gem in the Northamptonshire countryside. With its medieval church and picturesque lake, Furtho Manor Farm is perfect for couples seeking a relaxed and charming setting. The converted barn adds versatility for indoor celebrations, providing a beautiful canvas for wedding photography.

The views from the barn include a 15th Century Dovecote, St Bartholomew’s Church and a lake. St Bartholomew’s Church is now maintained by the Church Conservation Trust and is available for a limited number of blessings each year. Since John’s last visit to the venue a gazebo has been constructed on the lake and the ceremony took place in this fabulous lake setting.

Northampton Wedding Photographer – The Barns at Hunsbury Hill

Near the heart of Northampton, this 18th-century venue combines historic charm with stunning views over the Nene Valley. The Barns at Hunsbury Hill is ideal for couples who love rustic aesthetics. The exposed beams and stone walls create a warm, inviting atmosphere, which always looks fantastic in photos.

The Barns at Hunsbury Hill are part of a ‘Hanoverian’ tradition and a rare and unique example of a model farm. The farm complex was built in 1776 as the Hunsbury Hill Farm by Edward Bouverie and along with two smaller farms in the area, provided food to nearby Delapre Abbey. John has photographed here previously but a few years have passed it it was nice to see the investment in this venue since his last visit.

Wedding Photographer Northamptonshire – Barton Hall

Barton Seagrave Hall, now Barton Hall Hotel in Barton Seagrave, near Kettering, is a building of historical significance and is listed on the English Heritage Register. It was built in about 1550 and was the home of many notable residents over the next five centuries. Today it is a hotel which provides accommodation, restaurant facilities and caters for special events. With its light-filled Orangery and landscaped gardens, Barton Hall offers endless opportunities for timeless and romantic wedding photography.

This elegant Georgian manor is one of Northamptonshire’s standout wedding venues. With its light-filled Orangery and landscaped gardens, Barton Hall offers endless opportunities for timeless and romantic wedding photography. Due to availability at Barton Hall the pre-shoot for this wedding was done on location in stunning woodland in Northamptonshire, one of John’s favorite locations outside of the venues.

Northampton and Northamptonshire Wedding Photographer – Fawsley Hall

Fawsley Hall is a Tudor gem nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside, surrounded by serene lakes and rolling hills. Its timeless architecture and rich history make it an incredible location for elegant, memorable weddings. Over the past two decades, I’ve had the honour of photographing countless weddings at Fawsley Hall and being their recommended photographer.

I’ve also captured weddings and special moments for members of the venue’s team and even documented a family gathering for Mr. and Mrs. Hands, the owners of Handpicked Hotels, of which Fawsley Hall is part. These experiences reflect the trust and connection I’ve built with this remarkable venue.

From the historic Tudor hall to the modern Knightley Court reception space and the breathtaking estate views, Fawsley Hall provides a wealth of opportunities for stunning photography every time I return.

Whittlebury Park – Northamptonshire Wedding Photographer

Whittlebury Park, set in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, offers a stunning blend of modern facilities and natural beauty. As a recommended photographer at Whittlebury Park, I’ve had the pleasure of working there on numerous occasions, capturing couples in its elegant surroundings. The venue combines picturesque grounds, spacious event areas, and a harmonious mix of rustic charm and contemporary design, making it a fantastic location for wedding photography. Whether capturing moments in the serene gardens or inside the grand reception spaces, Whittlebury Park consistently provides beautiful photographic opportunities.

Crockwell Farm, located in the beautiful countryside of Northamptonshire, is a wonderfully rustic and intimate venue. I’ve had the privilege of photographing many weddings here, each one unique and memorable. The barn is a real highlight, with its exposed beams and charming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed and natural wedding. With stunning views over the surrounding fields and the peaceful rural setting, Crockwell Farm provides a beautiful backdrop for creating lasting memories.

Reflecting on 2024
