Wedding Photographer at Meadow Barn at The Stratford Park Hotel

John Fox had the honour of being the wedding photographer at Meadow Barn at The Stratford Park Hotel for a wedding that was truly special. The couple had booked John nearly two years before their wedding day, impressed by his work at the groom’s sister’s wedding. However, in the time between booking and the big day, the groom survived a horrific car accident that left him with a serious brain injury. This life-altering event made their wedding day all the more meaningful, as the images John would capture became incredibly significant for both the bride and groom.

The day began with a light rain, which added a reflective tone to the morning as everyone prepared for the ceremony. Although the rain eventually stopped, the atmosphere remained soft and moody, perfectly complementing the emotional depth of the day. Given the couple’s journey, every moment was charged with significance, making John’s role as the wedding photographer at Meadow Barn at The Stratford Park Hotel even more impactful. The rain stopped just in time for the family photographs following the ceremony, allowing John to capture cherished moments with the couple’s loved ones. Seizing this gap in the weather, John also included a few intimate shots of the couple amidst the family portraits, adding a personal touch to the collection.

After the wedding breakfast, John took the couple out onto the golf course and into the surrounding wooded areas for their portrait session. The rain had left the landscape refreshed, creating a serene backdrop for the photos. The natural beauty of the golf course, combined with the gentle light filtering through the clouds, allowed John to create images that were both visually striking and deeply meaningful.

These photos were not just a record of their wedding day; they captured the essence of the couple’s resilience and love. For the bride and groom, who had overcome such significant challenges, the images were a powerful reminder of their strength and the bright future they share.
