Wedding photography at Tortworth Court in Gloucestershire – Clare and James were married recently in a setting that brought together timeless architecture, personal touches and quiet elegance. The day began at the impressive Tortworth Court in Gloucestershire, part of the De Vere group, where both the bride and groom got ready in separate suites. The venue’s classic interiors provided the perfect start, with calm spaces ideal for capturing those quiet moments before everything begins.

The ceremony took place just outside Stroud at Woodchester Priory, a striking and atmospheric church tucked away in the countryside. The service was led by a family friend – a priest from Milton Keynes – who had travelled to conduct the ceremony. That personal connection added a sense of warmth that came through in every image.

Weather at Tortworth Court

Although the weather was unpredictable, rain never spoils a wedding. It simply invites a different kind of creativity. Clare and James made the most of the day, stepping outside when the showers eased and using the elegant interiors of Tortworth Court when needed. The warm tones and original features inside provided beautiful spaces for portraits, while the grounds added contrast and variety. This blend of locations helped shape a set of images full of atmosphere, movement and real emotion. As an additional note to anyone planning a wedding, when you look at a venue ask yourselves will we have space and areas to create images indoors if it rains.
